BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the general direction of the Director and Deputy Director, works with OPP staff on special projects including – currently – LSC's disaster preparedness efforts, Loan Repayment Assistance Project, foreclosure prevention coordination, private attorney involvement initiatives and grantee board governance.  Under the direction of the Director or Deputy Director, assists in the development and implementation of special projects focused on the improvement or expansion of the delivery of legal services and performs any combination of the listed duties and responsibilities in the Office of Program Performance.  Travel is required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promotes improvement of the grantees' capacity to provide high quality, effective and efficient legal services through the implementation of various OPP initiatives.

Engages in activities to promote LSC's disaster preparedness initiatives including coordination and publicity efforts, training efforts and website development.  

Assists with the administration of the Loan Repayment Assistance Project, including participant selection and processing.

Assists with gathering information concerning foreclosure prevention, development of website content, coordination of conference calls and publicity efforts.

Conducts research and analysis of on issues that affect the delivery of legal services to low income people.

Participates in OPP task forces as assigned and provides research and analysis as directed.

Provides assistance on Special Projects as assigned by the Director or Deputy Director of OPP.

Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

General:  
Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions; displays high-level of initiative, has an interest in and is committed to equal justice for low income persons.

Technical/Specialized:
A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years related to the provision of services to the low income community or equivalent work; superior oral and writing skills; word processing proficiency; experience with web design and/or development desirable.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

Hiring salary range $46,890 - $65,890, dependent upon qualifications and experience, plus an excellent benefits package.
