LSC reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users agree that each time they visit the Site, they will be bound by the current Terms of Use. Accordingly, users should check these Terms of Use periodically for changes prior to using the Site.

Intellectual Property 

LSC owns and operates the Site. Therefore, LSC owns the compilation of all data, images, software, documentation, text, audio and audio-visual materials, and other intellectual property the Site hosts.

Although LSC owns some of the Site’s individual content, LSC does not necessarily own each component of the Site’s content. Where third party rights owners (i.e., individuals or organizations unaffiliated with LSC) own content on this Site, LSC has secured permission from the owner to use the content. LSC waives all rights to the data worldwide under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights, to the extent applicable laws permit. Subject to LSC’s Privacy Policy, all content that users submit to the Site is non-confidential and non-proprietary. Other users may have access to this content.  Although LSC may from time to time monitor or review discussions, chats, postings, transmissions, bulletin boards, and the like on the Site, LSC is under no obligation to do so and assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such locations nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information within such locations on the Site. Governing Law 

District of Columbia’s laws, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions, govern these Terms of Use.  Users and Legal Services Corporation agree that any legal or equitable claim or dispute relating to these Terms of Use shall be exclusively brought in the appropriate state or federal court in the District of Columbia and users agree to submit to personal jurisdiction in District of Columbia. 

Complete Agreement 

These Terms of Use, together with LSC’s Privacy Policy, form the complete and exclusive agreement between users and LSC.  They supersede all prior or contemporaneous proposals, oral or written, understandings, representations, conditions, warranties, and all other communications between users and LSC relating to the use of the Site. No waiver by either party of any breach or default hereunder shall be deemed to be a waiver of any preceding or subsequent breach or default. The section headings used herein are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms of Use. If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
