LSC Opioid Task Force to Hold First Field Hearing

More than two million Americans are living with an opioid-related substance disorder. A wide range of civil legal issues are linked to such disorders, including issues of child custody/guardianship, health benefits, domestic violence, housing, employment, and child abuse and neglect. LSC's new Opioid Task Force was formed to address the civil legal implications of the opioid crisis. The task force is comprised of a diverse group of LSC grantees, health care and public health experts, judges, business leaders, and other stakeholders.

On October 17, the task force will meet in Indianapolis for its first field hearing. The event is open to the public and will be livestreamed via LSC's Facebook page. The full schedule for the meeting is below:
