Big L.A. Law Firms and Legal Aid Groups Mobilize to Help Angelenos
A coalition of volunteer lawyers have come together to aid Angelenos through their legal troubles during the novel coronavirus, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Tuesday.
Renters facing trouble with their living situation, victims of domestic violence, and low-income people dealing with debt, bankruptcy, and employment challenges could seek help through the program.
The mayor said he is partnering with City Attorney Mike Feuer on the effort. “Our message is clear: If you are struggling, we are here for you. Los Angeles’ legal community is full of experienced, dedicated lawyers eager to make a difference for those in need,” Feuer said in a statement.
