Alaska Attorney General Explains How the State is Helping Domestic Violence Survivors Amid COVID-19

Domestic violence does not go away during a pandemic, rates may even be exacerbated. But, throughout the COVID emergency shut-downs, help for domestic violence victims is but a phone call or a text away.

As Attorney General, I have also jump-started the Department of Law’s pro bono program that features letting state attorneys volunteer time to assist victims, and also our collaboration with the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault (ANDVSA) to man the domestic violence and sexual assault hotline. I am committed to making inroads on this issue.
