Houston Legal Community Forms Evictions Assistance Coalition
The Houston Bar Association, Houston Volunteer Lawyers, Houston Lawyer Referral Service, Dispute Resolution Center, Lone Star Legal Aid, South Texas College of Law Houston, Thurgood Marshall School of Law Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy, and the University of Houston Law Center have formed the eviction assistance coalition.
The coalition was formed to help greater Houston area residents who need legal assistance regarding evictions after the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act’s eviction protection expired on July 26.
