Legal Services Corporation Launches Access to Justice Podcast

This week LSC launched “Talk Justice an LSC Podcast.” The podcast will feature leaders from the legal community, business and government exploring aspects of access to justice.

“LSC’s Podcast, Talk Justice, will highlight the reforms and innovations we need to improve access to justice in America,” said LSC President Ronald S. Flagg. “Our podcast will showcase leaders from government, law, technology, and business who are taking concrete steps today to make real America’s promise of equal justice under law.”

In the inaugural episode of Talk Justice, moderator Jason Tashea and three legal technology experts discuss how portals, no-code automation, online classrooms and other developments are expanding and improving pro bono efforts. Documate Co-Founder Dorna Moini, Paladin Co-Founder Kristen Sonday and LSC’s Program Analyst for Technology Jane Ribadeneyra also discuss how the COVID-19 crisis is affecting pro bono and whether innovations developed to address challenges posed by the pandemic might permanently influence the way pro bono is delivered.

An upcoming Talk Justice episode will feature members of Congress who founded the Congressional Access to Civil Legal Services Caucus. They will discuss civil legal aid’s vital role in upholding American values and providing critical services to their constituents.

Future episodes will cover regulatory reform, the importance of legal aid to American business and the growing threat of evictions amid the challenges posed by COVID-19.

Talk Justice episodes are available here and on Spotify and other popular podcast apps. The podcast is sponsored by LSC’s Leaders Council.
