FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Washington, DC -- The Legal Services Corporation's Board of Directors will meet at the Corporation's Washington offices at 3333 K Street NW on April 7 to select a new Board chairman and vice chairman.
On March 19, the U.S. Senate confirmed six presidential nominees to serve on the Board, creating a change in Board membership and prompting the organizational meeting.
The Board meeting is scheduled to begin at noon. Members of the public who are unable to attend may listen by telephone, using the instructions submitted to the Federal Register and posted on the Corporation's website. Download the Federal Register notice.
The Corporation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that promotes equal access to justice and ensures civil legal services are available to low-income Americans. Corporation grants are distributed to 136 nonprofit legal aid programs across the nation.
