FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC -- Members of the Legal Services Corporation's Board of Directors will meet in Camden, N.J., on October 30 and in Philadelphia on October 31. Board members will visit the Camden office of New Jersey Legal Services and hear a presentation from all six LSC-funded New Jersey programs on the increasing requests for civil legal assistance by low-income individuals and families at a time of decreasing resources.

Chief Justice Stuart Rabner of the New Jersey Supreme Court will speak at a luncheon reception on October 30 at the Rutgers University Camden Campus Center near the Rutgers School of Law. At the reception, LSC will present six pro bono awards in recognition of volunteer services.

Committees of the Board will meet both days. On October 30, committee meetings will be held at the Rutgers School of Law; on October 31, committee meetings and the quarterly Board of Directors meeting will be held at the Crown Plaza Philadelphia-Center City hotel, 1800 Market Street, Philadelphia.
