Henley

Robert E. Henley, Jr, serves on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Legal Services Corporation (LSC). The LSC Board appointed him on September 21, 2010. 

Henley also served on Legal Services Corporation’s Fiscal Oversight Task Force, which was created by the LSC Board in 2010 to review the Corporation’s fiscal oversight policies and procedures. Henley retired in 2007 as the Managing Partner of Ernst & Young’s central Virginia practice located in Richmond, Virginia.  As the Richmond Office managing partner, he also served on the Firm’s Mid Atlantic Area leadership team. During his career with Ernst & Young he specialized in serving financial services clients and clients in the energy sector. Henley currently serves on the board of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business Foundation as Vice Chair and is a member of the Audit Committee. He has previously served on the boards of Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, The Maymont Foundation, Sports Backers of Richmond and the VCU Alumni Association. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Henley received his B.S. with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1971 and became a Virginia licensed Certified Public Accountant in October 1972. Henley and his wife, Ann Marie, live in Powhatan County, Virginia where they enjoy the rural lifestyle, golf, and time with family.
