Basic Field Grant Key Dates

All applicants will follow the same schedule this year. Review the Key Dates and Activities for Calendar Year 2021

At the start of calendar year 2020, LSC began developing a new Grants Management System (GrantEase) and redesigned the basic field grant application. As a result of these improvements, LSC  looks  forward  to  another  successful  year  facilitating  the  basic  field  grant  process  in  GrantEase.

Basic field grant applications for calendar year 2022 funding will be accepted for specified service areas. The list of 2022 service areas in competition is available here and will be published in the Federal Register on or around March 15, 2021. Applicants filing a grant application for any of the service areas listed must file a pre-application (formerly known as the Notice of Intent to Compete) and submit a grant application in response to LSC’s Request for Proposals (RFP).  Please note that grant renewal applicants do not file a pre-application.

The pre-application will be available in GrantEase on or around May 3, 2021. Please visit the Training Resources page on LSC’s website for a video tutorial and step-by-step guide on how to locate and complete the Pre-Application. First-time applicants must register in GrantEase and fill out the Grantee Profile before completing the pre-application. All  returning  applicants  received  an  email  notification  when  the  FY22  Basic  Field  Grant  opportunity  became available  in  GrantEase on May 3, 2021. Additionally, new and returning applicants are encouraged to see the 2022 Basic Field Grant Webinar recording, presentation slides and FAQs.
