WASHINGTON – The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) announced today that Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut, Inc. will receive a $150,593 Technology Initiative Grant (TIG) to improve the organization's use of technology in assisting low-income individuals with civil legal needs.

Sen. Chris Murphy: “Without equal access to legal resources and representation, there is no justice for all. This federal funding will help LSC leverage technology to match Connecticut attorneys with people in Connecticut who need access to legal aid. As a member of the Senate Appropriations committee, I’m continuing to push for more funding for LSC so they can continue to do their important work in our state.”

Rep. John Larson (CT-1): “The pro bono services that Statewide Legal Services coordinate ensure access to counsel is something truly available to all in the State of Connecticut. They will be able to expand their reach with the Technology Initiative Grant to both connect attorneys to pro bono work and match cases with appropriate counsel.
