Ohio Program Establishes ‘No Wrong Door’ for Families in Crisis

This episode of Talk Justice  explores an Ohio county’s efforts to bring service providers together to ensure that families in crisis receive the help they need. The “No Wrong Door” model is already making big impacts in Washington County, Ohio, where the Family and Children First Council (WCFCFC) is building partnerships that raise awareness of community resources. Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) partners in the effort to help local families.

 Robin A. Bozian

Robin A. Bozian

Robin Bozian retired after 44 years working with SEOLS in 2021. She directed federal & state grants placing attorneys in SE Ohio providing assistance to DV survivors. She served on the Ohio Supreme Court DV Task Force, the Ohio Supreme Court DV Advisory Comm. and was on the advisory board for the OCJS Center for the Prevention of Family and Community Violence. She still assists with local legal clinics, helps with a homeless Drop-In Center, and is a member of the county Board of Elections.

Dr. Kate Enger

Dr. Kate Enger

After earning a doctorate in clinical psychology, Kate served as the clinical coordinator for a women’s residential addictions treatment center and taught at the college level. In 2016, Kate became the diversion coordinator for the Athens County Municipal Court, where she worked with the judge to update the alcohol diversion program and launch three new diversion programs. Here at Legal Aid, she supports the work of the attorneys at the Tenant Advocacy Project in three counties.

Megan Gilliam

Megan Gilliam is the Project Coordinator for the No Wrong Door initiative in Washington County, Ohio. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and serves on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (LASCO) as a Client Representative. Drawing from both professional and lived experience, she is passionate about improving access to resources, advocacy, and community collaboration.
