Participants will:

  • Learn about the impact of civil right to counsel programs in communities across the country. Panelists from four cities that have made it a right for tenants to have a lawyer when facing eviction — New York City, Newark, Cleveland and Kansas City — will share lessons learned from the process.
  • Hear from national business and civic leaders about the importance of investment in civil legal aid to increase access to justice for low income Americans.
  • Celebrate volunteers from New York and New Jersey for their extraordinary commitment to equal justice and pro bono service.

Donnley, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.; Matthew Dornauer, Heineken USA; Douglas S.
