Legal Aid Champion Edgar S. Cahn Passes

Edgar S. Cahn, a key figure in the establishment of LSC, died on Sunday, January 23 in Bethesda, Maryland. The NYT describes him as "a legal innovator whose lifelong commitment to reshaping the law in the service of impoverished communities included establishing the modern system of federally funded legal services, the country’s first public-interest law school and an entirely new currency based on time."
